Why use large bath towels to dry off? And why reuse them? Bath towels smell after a few days of reuse because they trap dead skin cells, body oils, and moisture. When damp and balled up, this microscopic debris creates a perfect breeding ground for odor-causing bacteria and mildew to multiply. Eww! Hand towels are so much better. Plenty big enough. You can use a fresh one every day for the same amount of space in your linen closet.
