Goodyear Blimp. In the 1960s it revolutionized television broadcasting and cemented its status as a pop-culture icon. Copped a ride in 1965.

Indianapolis Athletic Club. IAC produced several notable Olympic swimmers in the 1950s and 1960s. Was a member in the early 1980s. Worked at Indiana Bell two blocks away and swam laps over my lunch hour. Later resided at IAC in the late 2010s after it converted to condos.

I've bottomed out twice in my life. The second time I ended up on a friend's couch, no car, $50 in my checking account. During a recession. Took the bus. Worked as a Kelly Girl. Got a $2k car. Returned to MarCom.  Went back to school to study computer science. A few years later worked as a tech writer at the HQ of Microsoft in Redmond.

Columbia restaurant in Tampa, Thanksgiving 2025 roast pork special. Opened in 1903 as the Columbia Saloon. Over 120 years Columbia expanded to an entire city block and is now the largest Spanish restaurant in the US. Five generations later the Casimiro family still runs it.

First solo initiation ceremony. This was not staged. There were other new pilot rituals. Ask for details.

Christopher Minello, DO. A doc of mine who'd dress up every Halloween, which became the permanent date for my annual physical.
