Support Gus Greaux's family after tragic accident
On Friday, May 29, 2026, I learned of a horrific accident affecting Gus Greaux, an extraordinary human being I've gotten to know as the HVAC tech for the condo building where I live. The details are below, provided by Julia Klaiber, who works with him. Please pray for Gus and his family and all others affected by this trajedy.
From Julia:
A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of meeting Augustus “Gus” Greaux while creating content for our company social media page at ConServ Building Services. Gus has been a dedicated technician with ConServ for several years, but getting to know him personally was something truly special.
What stood out most about Gus was how deeply he loves his family. His wife and 12 children are his entire world. The joy on his face when talking about them was unforgettable. He is incredibly proud to be their dad and works tirelessly to provide for them.
This past weekend, Gus, his wife, Ashelle, and several of their children were involved in a horrific head-on collision that has changed their lives in an instant.
Gus suffered a broken leg, a compound fracture, and a broken hip. His wife also suffered a broken hip, as well as a head injury. Both are undergoing surgery and are facing a long and difficult recovery ahead.
Most heartbreaking of all, their sweet 3-year-old son, Enoch, suffered a brain bleed, and doctors are still fighting to get it under control. His other children in the car suffered broken bones, but have been released from the hospital.
No family should ever have to endure this kind of pain and uncertainty.
As Gus and his wife focus on healing and caring for their children, they will be unable to work for an extended period of time. We are asking everyone who can to surround the Greaux family with love, prayers, and support during this unimaginable time.
If you are able, please consider donating to help ease the financial burden of medical expenses, recovery, and caring for their children. And if you cannot give financially, your prayers for Gus, his wife, and especially their young son would mean the world.
Update June 1, 2026
Hi everyone,
We cannot thank you enough for your prayers, support, and kindness over the past week.
Gus and his wife have both undergone hip replacement surgeries and are on the road to recovery. We are grateful to share that they are both expected to be released from the hospital today.
Unfortunately, we also have some heartbreaking news. Their 3-year-old son, Enoch, passed away from his injuries. As Gus and his wife focus on healing, they are now also facing the unimaginable task of planning their son's funeral.
Please continue to keep Gus, his wife, and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers. They will need our love, support, and encouragement now more than ever.
Thank you all for continuing to surround them with compassion and care during this incredibly difficult time.
